I've just spoken to the Glen Shiel campsite and have been assured they will be open to the end of October and our campers will be able to book in there

Wow, good news! :D :D :D :D
Hopefully it's not a washout!

Another little "problem" I have just recently thought about (sorry if I'm a pain in the **, Hutchy!). End of October is the prime stalking season. Of course it depends on which routes we take and when, but it would be worth checking which hills are the safest to go without disturbing stalkers.

The north side of Glen Shiel and Beinn Fhada will be fine, as it's all NTS or Forestry Commision, so no stalking issues.
Sgurr an Airgid and A'Ghlass Behinn stalking ends 20 Oct so fine as well

No info on Heading for Scottish Hills about the south side of Glen Shiel and Sgritheall, but I remember we climbed Sgurr Mhic Bharraich in early November and parts of SGS in October, so I imagine it would be all right as well, especially on weekend days.

The stag stalking season - which is the cause of most of the restrictions - ends on October 20th, so it shouldn't be a problem. :)

I see there is a field across the road...Camping?
Also a licenced resturant across the road as well 8) Looks like a great spot right on the shore

We were in there last year, great hostel.... BUT , Not a lot of room for a lot of cars, sorry scoob, and i remember being in a bunk room with about 15 + beds with 1 shower to share. A large chilling out area for our quiz with very comfy sofas, and the tables are not sturdy enough for dancing on  Maybe Rod on his own

You be careful Darren. Those pesky kerbs have a habit of jumping out in front of you like deer, or campervans behind you :(
