Spring WH Meet – Kinlochleven 21-23 April 2017

Re: Spring WH Meet – Kinlochleven 21-23 April 2017

Hi everyone.

Bear and I are really disappointed that we have had to back out of this meet.

Have a great time, keep safe in the hills and don't get too drunk. Oh, ok, just stay safe in the hills.

Best wishes, I'll be thinking of you.

Great to meet everyone and the weather was pretty good for the weekend.
A big thanks to my walking buddies over the 2 days, it was certainly a game of two halves.
Thanks Jackie for the organisation and look forward to the next one Anne, what have you let yourself in for.

Gutted I had just the one day there, but a great well-organised meet with, apparently good weather, which is almost unheard of.

I left my coffee and easter egg prize behind though

My girlfriend and I happened to be staying here on Saturday night whilst doing the WHW. Came back from dinner and drinks at Highland Getaway to a cacophony of noise from the hostel and wondered what on earth was going on  Found out from someone out for a smoke that it was the WH meet - I'd totally forgotten about it and we'd even spoken about coming along if we didn't manage to get out on the WHW. We ended up speaking to a few folk outside for an hour or so but the missus was ready for bed after 28 miles from Tyndrum in 8 hours (that's a whole other story...). We are definitely interested in getting involved next time.
