Lairig Grhu 2nd/ 3rd June

Lairig Grhu 2nd/ 3rd June

We are a group of friends looking to walk the Lairig Grhu on Saturday 3rd June from Braemar to Aviemore and trying to arrange transport. Wondering if there would be any other groups walking Aviemore to Braemar on Friday 2nd or Saturday 3rd who would swap transport at each end.

it is tricky.. why not stay a night then walk back?
The only time I walked right through the ghru was a midsummer overnight walk with a walking club - they hired a bus, which worked out great

Had a similar issue a couple of years ago when my elder son wanted to walk the Lairig Ghru when we were staying at Coylumbridge.
Came up with a plan to start at Linn of Dee and walk via Glen Derry and the two corbetts back home one day then return the following day with elder son via the Lairig Ghru. Walk report here if it's any use - cheers :)
