WH SPRING MEET 13-15th APRIL 2018

Good work Tommy

That's me paid up for both nights. This is almost like a local meet for us Dundonians and Taysiders! It'll be pehs & bridies all round! 8)

I've still got three or four 3000ers to do around that area so fingers crossed for good weather.

Given the cost of the site, I think I'll go with those two nights in the hostel Tommy. Money will be with you shortly.

Hi Jonathan, How did you get the cost, and can you tell me what it is, please? I rang to find out, but got a VM that they're closed until 8th December. My very limited experience of this site when I wanted to use it was that a) it was full; and b) they locked the gates rather early of an evening.

Thanks.

Hi Allan,
I went to their website http://www.braemarcaravanpark.co.uk/touring-camping?cid=167&pid=3435&utid=443
Prices of £22.50 per night for high season and £18 for low season (I couldn't find the criteria for these). Those are for 2 people, but even though it states a discount for single person occupancy, it seems a bit steep. And the hostel is only £20 a night anyway.

I think Braemar Lodge also has a bunkhouse. It's about 5 mins up the road.

Don't expect to get a beer though, they wont serve one unless you are eating, that includes residents.
