Anyone thinking of a New Year's Day out on the hills?

Hi,

Is anyone thinking of heading out on New Year's day?

If so, where you thinking of going?

It's got to be better than waking up in a skip and spending the next week clutching my head, groaning and wondering if those mental images of dancing on a table with my pants on my head before a baying, jeering crowd are real memories or just a terrible nightmare...

Braeriach. Early start from Sugarbowl car park. Straight out, straight back via Chalamain Gap.

All pending safe conditions and how my legs feel. It's a mother of a day in midwinter but I say go big or go home*.

Chalamain gap is a weird, wonderful place. Very eerie and atmospheric.

Should be awesome with a covering of snow too !

enjoy !

More a New Years Eve walk, looking at Duncolm for a short trek, as the weathers pish. If only I could hand back my days off.

I did enjoy It! A magical place. Not enough snow to cover the boulders but what a walk. Through the gap and out to the grand view the other side.

This is why I love Scotland and why I will keep coming back.
