Looks highly unlikely that I will make this one now. Not because I want to stay glued to the fridge/TV all weekend to prepare for watching my beloved France take Jules Rimet home, although that is an added factor for consideration, but because family commitments have again gotten in the way. I will console myself with the thought that I will hopefully be heading north for a couple of days midweek next week when I am clear of such commitments. Hope everyone has a blast as always!

Great, I'll PM you...

Hi Dougie,

Did you get my PM? I've had troubles with it from time to time, so it may have failed again...

If not, please try to PM me - this is what seemed to clear the problem last time...

Regards

Hi all,

We're heading to Skye tomorrow, will be camping at Sligachan most likely, before moving to the meet site on Friday, don't know exactly which hills we'll be doing, all depends on weather.

BTW I don't want to spoil the party, but the forecast for Saturday looks dreadful!!! Heavy rain and 40 mph winds on the ridge :( :( :(

Not looking great for Saturday as things stand but we'll just have to "accept the things we cannot change" and see what Paddy says when I phone him on Friday evening. It's still early days and things can change very quickly.

Lee, Manda and I are going to be later arrivals on Friday. We've managed to rearrange our Inn Pinn climb from Sat to Fri afternoon to try to get the best weather. Prob won't be at the bunkhouse until mid evening.

Hi Maja and all, wishing you a fun-filled weekend in Skye. Valerie and I had wished to visit as our initial plan was to be in the area at the end of our holiday. However we have ended up staying in Dumfries and Galloway and are here until Sunday. Look forward to hearing stories and see the pictures :D :D :D

Thanks for organising another great meet up Maja. Really enjoyed it and it was a cracking wee bunkhouse you booked. Kevin's quiz was great fun too. Even the weather didn't spoil the fun and I found it's just as much fun to go for a coastal walk as it is to be up in the hills.

By the way, next time someone says lets go for a coastal walk I'll be enquiring as to exactly what they mean. I expected a stroll along the coast and beach, instead I got a hike up along the cliffs, marching through rough terrain and did as many steps as I did on the Inn Pinn. I think I was miss-sold!
