I'm looking to head up to the Loch Mullardoch Munros and am looking at booking the ferry on this day. It would be great (read cheaper) to get a group along so if you're interested let me know and I will get in contact with Angus the ferryman and see if we can make it work. The cost for the ferry is £25 per person although if you want a lift all the way down to the other end of the Loch it is an extra £5.

David

Ferry confirmed for a 7a.m departure  .

If you're a fast walker you can do them from Strathfarrar, just need to be back in time before the gate gets locked

Ahhh!, just our luck, would of been great to join you, we're travelling up from West Yorkshire on the 19th, heading for Cannich and hoping to do the Mullardochs Sun or Mon.

I hope you all have a good day David, how much is the ferry nowadays?

Cheers,
Martin.

Really just posting a reply here to jump this back to the top of the forum :D

I have pm'd all those coming my mobile number but have had a drop out so there's still space on the boat if you want to come.

Did this last weekend and almost got locked in (got to the gate at 6.40 with 20 minutes to spare after starting at 10.30). Also, the bog slog between the dam and Carn nan Gobhar is hellish. Your much better getting the Mullardoch ferry to the base of An Socach and doing the whole circuit back to Carn nan Gobhar if you can face parting with £25. You also don't have to chase after grumpy Yorkshire lady with a padlock!

Well I’m glad we got the boat because my quads feel like concrete this morning  If I’d done the full route back along the shore I don’t think my legs would be speaking to me for a while.

Fabulous day out in perfect conditions though. Good to see lots of people out enjoying it too. Thanks again David for organising!

The last of the 7 o'clock gang eventually made it back to his car shortly after 6, and I was so glad I didn't have too long a drive home. Am afraid I was struggling, more up and down than I had bargained for, and the high ridge was very blustery, so sorry I couldn't keep up with you. Still, a good day out and pleased to have marked these ones off the list! Thanks for organising the boat David, and maybe I'll meet up with some of you on the hills again.

I've just realised there's more ascent on this round than there is on the Ring of Steall which probably explains why stairs are still problematic 48hrs later
