Question for admin

Postby Stevekerr188 » Sat Nov 14, 2020 6:02 pm

Been doing some mapping today on new routes to check mileage for the TGO and when I go click on preview I get the following message your IP ...........122 has been blocked because it is blackisted. For details please see, which refers me to spamhause. I have clicked on the link and TBH dont know where to start. All other device's in the household operate normally. I take it the blacklist refers to the PC in use. I cant post on it either. Any ideas?

It's happened before, and apparently is usually something to do with the ISP reallocating IP addresses - it does seem to go away eventually (it did for me), but there are some ideas for making it go quicker at https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=93810

I've had this happen too. This can happen when spammers use an IP for a while then they give the IP address up and it get recycled to a normal person.

Try turning your entire router/broadband/fibre optic off. The entire thing. Reboot it and see if that helps.

Re: Question for admin about spamhaus blacklisting

I also regularly have this problem if I'm using Walkhighlands on phone data (as opposed to when I'm at home using wifi). It basically means I can't usually post anything to the forum unless connected to wifi.

It's not a big problem, but it is a bit inconvenient - is there any way of getting around this?

Had this as well on 4g through giffgaff(o2). Saves me posting drivel after a few beers.
