Help displaying maps

Postby EPetrie » Sat Dec 03, 2016 8:56 am

My new Sony Xperia isn't displaying the maps properly. I see the blue line for the route but the actual maps are showing as empty tiles with a generic image icon in the corner. Any ideas, please, on what I need to do with my settings?

Hi Eddie

If the maps don't display like that, it means they are blocked on whatever internet connection you are currently using to connect with. Some work wifi networks and other places block the maps. All you can do is connect to the internet with a different connection.

Thanks for the follow up. I am still puzzled. My other devices all show the maps properly on the same WiFi networks. The walkhighlands maps aren't loading on the phone when I'm out and about using my phone network (EE) either, even though Location services are enabled and Google Maps are working fine. Have downloaded the View ranger App but I preferred the walkhighlands OS/route display.
