Flipping Photo

Morning all,

I have just noticed that some of my photos are rotating round onto their sides when I add them into a Walk Report.

How do I stop this happening?
Does it automatically put the long edge along the bottom in regards to resolution?

Cheers,
Jamie

No - it uses the information in your photo file as to which way up it should be.

It sounds like your photo program or camera isn't correctly recording the orientation of the photos. You should be able to change it in the file with whatever photo editing program you are using.

I have previously found a related problem with my iPad. If you use the iPad camera to take a photo and you happen to have it held the wrong way up, the iPad will correct it for you. If you upload it onto this website, it will display correctly if using the iPad browser, but if anyone else looks at it (or I look at it on a different device), it will be upside down/in the wrong orientation :? .

Best to get the photo onto a PC and use whatever software you have there (I think most PCs have MS Picture Manager installed as standard. I'm sure Macs have something similar) to rotate it the right way up before uploading it here.
