Editing a route map

Editing a route map

Postby Alteknacker » Sat Apr 13, 2019 4:12 pm

Some little while ago the rendering of a walk map changed from indicating each of the way points to just a blue line. At the same time the detail of the distance and ascent/descent disappeared.

I have not been able to find a way to edit the map in the new format - quite annoying if you've saved the map, and then discovered that you've made an error.

Can anyone advise...
1. How to edit a walk map.
2. How to access the distance/ascent data once the gpx file has been saved?

Many thanks for any help.

Hi Alan, I had the same problem, found this service:

http://maps.the-hug.net/

You can draw new routes, save them and edit them again by "load GPX" option (drop down menu in the upper left corner). Very handy, though it doesn't have 1-25k OS maps. Works with WH waypoint routes as well.
