Hilleberg Enan - long (ish) term review

Hilleberg Enan - long (ish) term review

Postby westonfront » Wed Apr 14, 2021 8:22 pm

So now I've had my Enan for a year, and between restrictions managed 14 nights away in it, in a variety of weather conditions I'm in a position to give an pukka experience based review:

Thanks for this! Managed to bag myself a secondhand Enan last month but haven't had a chance to use it yet. It's good to get a detailed review, especially on the condensation issue.

I have a Akto and outside midge season i have used it without the inner something you could do with the Enan, the only drawback being slugs on my sleeping bag, spiders and a curious mouse/vole on my face, did not encounter ticks but that would be something to consider if your a magnet for them.

Hilleberg make mesh inners for their tents, so you can get one of those for the other 3 seasons.

Good read. I have an Enan that I’ve not used much (as seldom camp solo) but I’ve been happy with it when I have. Mostly it’s the Niak for us, and I find both tents do get a fair bit of condensation in cold/ wet weather, maybe more of an issue with 2 people breathing. It does dry quickly on repitching, my main concern would be a wet sleeping bag.
