My friend Pam (pamfox on the forum) had a pair of those and was very happy with them. Although classed as walking boots, she used them for everything from grassy hillwalks to climbing the Inaccessible Pinnacle. Our guide on Skye said she was fine using them.

Here's hoping you get many comfortable happy miles out them.
I can highly recommend the HS12 proofing/conditioning cream for them but I'm sure there are plenty of other options out there too.
