Tech does fail from time to time and that actually happened to me on the CWT (Day 7), the battery died and wouldn't take a charge with a cheap non-Garmin USB cable. She was worrying about me, but her rational told her it would be a tech fault. I met a pair of walkers going up Lurg Mhor and they kindly sent a text her a text for me at the summit and I phoned her later when back in signal near Craig.
Lesson learned to use the original charger cable, but I suppose she might have phoned MRT for advice if she hadn't got that text from the walkers I met.
