I've got a pair of Sky Kahas and they've been amazing tbh.
They're the Event ones not goretex.
Worn in deep snow around Cairngorm lower hikes, Trossachs, Pentlands etc plus every other normal hike since. Been thoroughly soaked, muddy etc and always remained very breathable, waterproof, comfy, light etc.
Only downside is the megagrip rubber lugs are now worn so not as trustworthy gripwise but not bad after 2years use. But then megagrip soles wear rapidly anyway, the rubberised foamsole is also grippy as the foam midsole wraps itself over uneven terrain so just seems to work. Another benefit of the sheer area of the sole is a bonus in soft terrain and feels more stable than my old clumpy meindls even with worn lugs!
I also have problematic feet but these have been the best item of footwear I've had.
Actually quite easy to run in too if you've had too much coffee mid hike...
Hard to find at the moment, maybe they got discontinued?
