Quality alternative to TNF Apex Bionic/McKinley softshell

Quality alternative to TNF Apex Bionic/McKinley softshell

Postby Spunge » Thu Mar 01, 2012 3:33 pm

I'm looking for a good quality and durable spring & summer windproof and water resistant softshell similar to the Northface Apex Bionic / McKinley series. TNF softshells tend to be limited in choice of colours and I would like an alternative to black or red. More often than not they are slightly overpriced. I've looked into Keela but they only do black. A softshell which could also be worn outdoors at a festival without looking too dowdy. Any recommendations ?
Price Range < £80 as that is what you could pick up the equivalent TNF jacket if you looked carefully on the net.

Cheers,

I believe Quecha do a lime green and pale blue softshell, may be worth having a look at the Decathlon website !

Looks good. I think I may go for the lime green.
I'm an odd size; inbetween a TNF medium and large ; but I go for a TNF medium. Should a medium Quechua suffice ?

Thanks,

I would imagine so. I think my dads is medium and when I tried it on it was about a perfect fit. I'm 5ft 11", 11.5 stone and have a fairly slim, athletic build, If that helps at all :)

Hello,

I was wondering if this sofshell could be okay for end of summer in iceland, camping and hiking a little ? Or if it's too much warm ?

Thanks a lot :)
