Can anyone recommend glue for hiking boots please? Meindl, only a year or so old, but the sole is starting to separate from the upper.

I'd say back to the shop instead of glueing.

My local shoe repairer refuses to repair walking boots on the grounds that the soles are not designed to be repairable, he's done a few and they only last a month or so (he's damn good on everything else). If it's only a year old, take it back where you bought it.

If for any reason you can't follow the above advice and take them back to the shop Free Sole is pretty good, we have successfully stuck the heel back down and the rand, on walking boots,both lasted well.

They are based near Kendal and have their own repairers.

Take them back to the shop. You have a 1 year warranty on them. Make sure you have the receipt or a bank statement with the date and place of transaction.
