Salomon quest 4d gtx question.

Salomon quest 4d gtx question.

Postby Jon and Jen » Thu Jan 18, 2018 10:16 pm

New member with a question. I've been trying on many boots and have decided the above are the ones I want. As has my partner. I'm a size 11 and she is a size 8 and we have only managed to find them in these sizes in tiso. I'm guessing due to the £50 premium they are charging.

Even online, (Amazon,eBay) these sizes are out of stock.

I'm wondering if we would be better holding on for a restock or perhaps the next generation release? We hope to start hiking in a few months and I'm balking a bit at the £340 price tag for two pairs. I am lucky enough to know the guy in the shop after buying his tent on gumtree and he has hinted at a 10% discount but it's still a bit eye watering for boots that sell commonly for £119 online.

Anyone offer any advice?

Thanks.

Where are you based as both cotswold & go outdoors stock them at around £120.

Or find a different boot, they don't look anything special to me.

In Dundee. Nearest gooutdoors is Edinburgh and both pairs collection only. Cotswolds don't have our sizes, both not listed.

Might end up travelling to Edinburgh I suppose. Still cheaper than the offerings here.

Thanks for the heads up. Never heard of go outdoors.

I just checked your sizes on the Go Outdoor website and you can get them for 125 per pair and showing both your sizes as available.

They are but I'm in Dundee and my nearest outlet is Edinburgh. They are 'collection only' so I may as well buy here at inflated prices. Edinburgh isn't a million miles away but fuel and time makes this economically less viable.

Managed to find the ladies size 8 in stock at go outdoors, they are waiting a delivery of the men's size 11 but are taking orders so I am happy out. £210 for both with delivery. :D

Thanks for the help offered.

Looks like Cotswold outdoor have mens quest 4d 2 gtx on website in stock size 11 for £120. Free standard UK delivery. They also price match if you can them cheaper elsewhere.

I have a pair of Quest 4D. I usually wear a size 10 - 10.5 in day to day footwear but had to size up to 11.5 in these. Maybe worth going to a shop and getting fitted.
