Just been looking at the new feature on OS Maps subscription the 3d fly through of your route.....first impressions stunning

...............our 3D fly-through gives you a better perspective of your route’s difficulty and its potential risks and dangers. The fly-through offers you an almost cinematic experience of your route before you get there. It includes an elevation profile of your chosen route as well as point of interest labels for the surrounding areas

• Discover points of interest and things to do along the way.
• Identify potential risks and dangers for those more challenging adventures.
• View route previews.
• Find areas you didn't know existed as you fly through the route.
• Re-live the adventure, even after you return home with a collection of your completed fly-through routes.
• Enjoy your route library doubling-up as a fly through library; available for anywhere you want to go.
• See the route elevation profile

I wonder how easy it would be to export to a video.

This is awesome. I'd seen it was a new feature, but hadn't tried it out.

Just spent 15 minutes flying along lochs following the routes I'd entered for our trip up to the far NW last week. Some we did, some we had to miss out due to weather. Flying along the latter gave me a real feel for the loch (Loch a' Chairn Bhain), and the wonderful wild camp spot we'd hoped to get to but didn't, something we hadn't really got from driving along the little road nearby; https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/1906936/Outer-Loch-from-Kylesku

Just had a peep at these perhaps has taken all of this into a new realm all sorts of different features .....a bit like travelling on a Funicular when you press the 'journey' button.
OK supposing that you have signed up for a year of the maps and system will the routes that you save be transferable to one of the Garmin global systems that have maps? I recall that trying to send a route made on the Memory Maps 1:25,000 from the PC but having the 1:50,000 maps on the Garmin this was not allowed by the device.
