I managed to get a hole in the seat of my Soft shell walking trousers and got them repaired by a recommended technical clothing repairer. However on inspection of the repair they replaced the damaged soft shell panel with a hard shell panel. Although the hard shell isn’t as flexible is there any other down side to having hard shell replacing the soft shell?
