Garmin Etrex20 - HowFar???

I noticed a few weeks back that my etrex 20 appeared to be recording height gains a good bit in excess of the actual height. Last week I did a 15 mile walk and it somehow managed to record a distance of 74 miles. Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it. I've done a factory restore but haven't had the chance to check if it's worked yet.

It is not clear from the info you gave if you, at the start of every trip reset the current track and trip computer. I found that doing that stops me downloading extremely long tracks etc. Do not have any experience with problems with Elevation measurement so can not hep you there.
