just took a look on Trekitt's website and they say "The Spider Light 2 GTX is a strong stiff B2/B3 boot that will accept semi-automatic crampons for mixed winter climbing and mountaineering."

Semi-automatic crampons are those which clip in at the heel to a pronounce heel welt, and strap on to the front instead of clipping in.

There are a few to choose from, but maybe ask the shop where you bought them if they have a recommendation for that boot?

Are you just munro bagging and not climbing, if so then a c1 crampon on them will be sufficient.

Doing all the hills not just Munro's, one of the boys I go out with who is fairly experienced in climbing so I may try it in the future but probably won't be this winter. Is a semi automatic crampon in the same class as a c1. Apologies for the noob questions first year at this game.

C1 crampons are ones that have a basket type attachment at front and back.

C2 normally have a basket at the front and a bail that clips onto the heel of the boot at the back. These are aka semi automatic.

If you're planning to winter walk and not climb then go for C1 as these can fit pretty much any stiffish boot and your crampons will very likely long outlive your boots.

Examples of C1 crampons are Grivel G10 new classic, e.g. https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/p/grivel-g10-new-classic-crampon-F1A32097.html essentially anything that has a plastic "basket" at the toe and heel will do the job.

If you're likely to try climbing then a Grivel G12 with new matic (basket front, bail heel) wouldn't be a bad option as they'll be fine for walking and climbing. E.g. https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/p/grivel-g12-newmatic-crampon-F1A32089.html?colour=180

Best advice is to go into a gear shop with your boots and speak to a shop assistant. They'll be able to advise on a suitable pair of crampons, and will also show you how to fit them to the boots. You may prefer one design to another, something that you can only find out by trying them out.

Crampons and boots use a rating system using numbers. Boots are rated B1, B2 or B3 and crampons as C1, C2 or C3.

If you've got B2 boots, then they will be compatible with C1 or C2 crampons. C1 crampons are more flexible, tend to have 10 points and are walking crampons. C2 are a bit stiffer, will tend to have 12 points and are designed for mountaineering - these are probably the best type of crampons to get for your boots as they'll do everything you want and more. C3 crampons are designed for technical climbing and are overkill for munrobagging.
