Well, Part 2 definitely lived up to the promise of Part 1 (the read I mean - the walk looked seriously tough with all that unwonted wet stuff...
). Great stuff, and well done in completing it in a oner. That really is no mean feat

I was interested to see that you did the whole thing without a sleeping bag - impressive!!!
On a more serious note: presumably you had something like Allison's sleeping bag? And looking on the Feathered Friends website, it doesn't look as if their bags are made with water-resistant down. How did you manage to keep the bags reasonably dry/insulating when you seemed to spent approaching half of the trek partly submerged???
