Read other users walk reports for the long distance trails - and add your own.

NB. This board is for reports on multi-day long distance routes - reports on simply long walks should be added to the standard boards.
Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.

This board is to write walk reports about long distance routes you have undertaken. If you are wanting to ask questions in advance of doing a long distance route, please use the general discussion board.

The long distance route pages on Walkhighlands all include links to all the relevant walk reports for that route. When adding a walk report, be sure to select the long distance route (near the top of the form) before posting so that your report appears on the route page. Alternatively you could click the link to add a report from the bottom of the route page - your report will then be automatically tagged as being for that route. This means everyone thinking of walking that route themselves can easily find your report.

You can also now mark which long distance walks you have completed on our long distance walks page; those you have completed will be shown in blue and also listed on your walks diary.

Also - please note our moderation policy - please do not simply use any of the boards to simply promote your reports on own website or blog.
