Read other users walk reports for the long distance trails - and add your own.

NB. This board is for reports on multi-day long distance routes - reports on simply long walks should be added to the standard boards.
Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.

As my friend and I are having another go at the 4,000s - that is the Lochaber 4,000s in one day and the Cairngorms 4,000s on another day - this year, I would be interested to hear if anyone has done them recently.

Last year the wind chill on Breariach was so severe we were in danger of hypothermia, although we did climb Cairngorm and Ben Macdui on another day - and got very wet in the process!
