Read other users walk reports for the long distance trails - and add your own.

NB. This board is for reports on multi-day long distance routes - reports on simply long walks should be added to the standard boards.
Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.

"MacGrumpy"
If you have not done so already I suggest that you post the report on Doddlecat so that it will be more readily available for Challengers to view.

I cannot get the link that opens up Doodlecat's email address on their contact page, do you have it MacGrumpy?

Hello Mountainstar, nice walk report, Thank you. I’ve submitted my route for this years event, As a TGO virgin I hope I havn't made an arse of the route sheets. Your second week is more or less the same as I have planned. Another thank you has to go your way, the sound track for your video, I’m a big fan of Runrig and I don’t know how I missed that one over the years :- Amzing Things, Canada. You are obviously a fan as well so try this lot out if you don’t already know of them, Coast.

Hi Billy, Good luck on the TGO, you will love it I'm sure, knowing like me your love of LDW. The Vetters are very good at sorting out the small print of the submitted routes.
Thanks for links, not heard of Coast before, very Runrig-esk, really liked what I heard (listened to a few more as well)
I'm following in your footsteps somewhat in Sept... My original intent was to do both Bothys on Jura in the same trip like yourself walking along the west coast, but without a car to get back to Craighouse from the road end is a big problem (and getting to the start of the walk for Cruib), although there is a bus that goes as far as Lussgiven, but timings are rubbish for using it for both.
So instead of going to Glengarrisdale Bothy again I will tag in An Cladach on Islay on a 3 day/2 night visit.
