TS is a pretty good option so long as you get it nailed down well. If pitched on deep snow its useful to have longer guys (or carry some 2mm dyneema so you can extend when needed), easier to dig small pits down to terra firma rather than have to clear a large site.
The only downside with the TS is the relatively low angles which collect snow fall but a big dump overnight is pretty unlikely.
