4 days paddling and wild camping in the sunshine from Glenfinnan on Loch Shiel down the River Shiel into Loch Moidart, out into the Atlantic and back via Loch Ailort.
Really great pub at Glenuig.

Day 1, 12.1km:
Drove to Glenfinnan.
Set off from the Glenfinnan Hotel.
A lot of other paddlers on the Loch.
Had to carry on past several people camping before finding an uneven camp spot in Gaskan Woods.

Day 2, 22.6km:
Paddled further down the Loch and explored St. Finan's Chapel island burial ground.
Pub stop at the Loch Shiel House Hotel, a bit characterless and pricey!
We hit the rapids exiting the River Shiel at low tide so had to portage.
Paddled round Castle Tioram.
Found an excellent camp spot on an island next to Shona Beag, no running water but tasty mussels.

Day 3: 18.1km:
Paddled out into the Atlantic via the North Channel, lovely and peaceful.
Beautiful white sand beach and swam near Smirisary!
Pub stop at Glenuig, great place.
Found a ticky camp spot next to Trom Island, more mussels.

Day 4: 5.5km:
The Loch was very choppy (Force 4).
2 boats got out after Eilean Buidhe the rest of us (4) formed a diamond raft for the final push.
Wet but exciting final paddle to the get out.
Great lunch of prawn tails in the Glenuig Inn and visited the smokery.
