Cape Wrath Trail and stag stalking

Hello,
I would like to do the Cape Wrath Trail between 10 September and early October
During my preparation for the trip, I saw by visiting the site of Boties some were closed due to hunting deer .. (Bothy closed 20th September to 20th October for stag stalking)
During this period, hikers can go there during these hunts deer?
If not, the end of May is this a good time? (rain, midges ...)

Hi Eric.
I attempted the Cape Wrath Trail last September. I only came across stalking once, that was in Cona Glen and the deer was dead before I got anywhere near the hunting party.
From memory, Shenavall and the Schoolhouse Bothy are 'closed', although I camped outside the schoolhouse and cooked my food inside. An estate car passed as I left and they just waved at me.
Open bothies include, Corryhully, A'Chuil, Sourlies, Knockdamph, Strathan, Strathcailleach and Kervaig (which is a great place to spend the last night).
The end of May and September will have midgies but not as many as June, July and August. On many days last September I had no midgies at all, on some they were so bad I couldn't cook in the apron of my tent and went to sleep hungry.
May is the driest month of the year statistically. You may also want to consider Army use of Cape Wrath if finishing in October, if they are active, you cannot access Cape Wrath. Also the ferry across the Kyle of Durness ends officially on September 30th and it is almost another days walk to get to Durness from the Cape across rough terrain.
