This link will take you to our pictorial/video record of the Great Glen Way.

We took 6 days to walk from Fort William to Inverness then added on a 7th day to do the alternative route from Laggan Locks to Oich Bridge.

The photos were taken at random intervals and show the terrain and track ahead, not the scenery.

Due to a missing diversion sign and forestry works we took a slight route variation on the final stage into Inverness along the Caledonian

We 'piggy backed' using our campervan so each day had to get from a campsite somewhere back to where we left off the day before. This added some time and distance to our days but was enjoyable. The bus service on the A82 is brilliant.

Hope you enjoy.

I too enjoyed the alternate very pleasant route alongside Loch Oich on this occasion I was coming from the Corrieyairack. Having been to the Inverness finish via the track through the plantations, it was on one occasion, pleasant to get out of the trees and to descend to Dochgarroch to follow the Canal back into the town....path on both sides of the canal. :)

gaffr - we followed the road down from just below Blackfold to the A82 to reach the locks at Dochgarroch. The only slight blip was having to walk the verge of the A82 for a short while to link the two. Not a comfortable link....but a smashing end to the trek on a beautiful autumn evening
