Hello everyone!
A couple of weekends ago Moss and I walked the West Island Way. We walked this over 2 days mostly: packing the full route into the weekend.
On Friday night we arrived late on off the ferry and walked a couple of miles to a lighthouse where we camped for the night.
Saturday found us putting in 21.5 miles and brought us to a crackin' wee spot to wild camp where we then got battered by a storm.
We then woke early on Sunday and had a mad dash over 9 miles to try and catch the first bus at the back of 9 (if you don't get that one there is a two hour wait until the next).
This walk would make an excellent introduction for anyone looking to get into long distance backpacking and it makes for a quick fun weekend getaway.
