The Fife costal path offers any walker great sea views over the firth of forth, charming seaside villages and spoils you with great restaurants and hotels. being a local I split the walk up into day sections and drove back home at night. Transportation back to my car was brilliant and I never once got stressed out about missing a bus etc. The Leven to St Andrews section is serviced by a frequent bus that does to constant loop so getting back to your car is never an issue. The only problem I ever had was upon arrival in Newburgh on a weeknights evening I had to get bus to Dundee and a taxi from their, back to Newburgh.
Some of the sections aren't the most pleasing if I'm honest, the stretch between Kinghorn and Kirkcaldy was not enjoyable but this is outweighed by the stunning villages you will encounter as you continue along the costal path. If I can offer advice to any would be walkers, it would be that this is best done between spring and autumn. Certain stretches of the walk can be quite remote and my phone signal did drop from time to time so proceed with an appropriate amount of planning as you endeavour past Anstruther.
All in all this was a great walk along the costal path and makes a refreshing change to hillwalking.
