Read other users walk reports for the long distance trails - and add your own.

NB. This board is for reports on multi-day long distance routes - reports on simply long walks should be added to the standard boards.
Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.

Is a winter expedition on skiis something for you?

Well, in order to find out, you will have to continue reading...

Our route: Finse to Haugastøl
Logistics: Train from Oslo to Finse, direct bus from Haugastøl to Oslo

Pros:
1) A partly new experience for us
2) The wilderness
3) The weather

Cons:
1) It was very cold when the sun was down (and we were lucky with the weather)
2) There are many people doing this

Feel free to check out my video from our expedition:
