Excellent news, and being a Springer owner myself, I can understand how they can run out of range. Happened before to my dog, but luckily only for 15mins or so.

Very happy that Sam is safe and sound although I wonder if he realizes that he has just done me out of possibly 3 full days out on the hills (with my wifes blessing) looking for him. My spaniels are gutted too. DIY here we come, YAY..............

Just missed getting another photo of the soppy bugger asleep in his bean bag on his back, legs in the air, lips hanging down, kids came in the door and he got up.

He's obviously picking up as he's back to barking at the usual noises, 4 days of peace now over !!

LeithySuburbs, you'll get on well with the dog (kids would say me too) being a grumpy. Tried to help Sam out to get onto the sofa and got the growling, so he's definitely coming round !! He'll be happier later tonight when wife gets home after a week with family as he is mummys boy, a true ladies man.

On the note about the Trackers, I think both dogs mountain days are nearly over as they are getting on a bit, but I think the tracler would halp, although coverage is the issue. I checked and it uses Orange network and the entire range of Am Faochagach is a dead zone as is most of the Fannichs, but the od bit here and there may enable him to pop up on the radar now and then so at least you know he's still about. The more interesting bit was the ability 9coverage permitting of course) to see where the dog had been during the 4 days ! I'd love to know.

I've had a desreved prawn madras and a pint tonight, first time in 4 days I've sat and watched telly, kids are really fed up Hah !

Attached pic was taken on the Wednesday at the summit of Am Faochagach Sam on the left and Holly, a feat in itself to get them to stay still for long enough. This was at 1430hrs and at 1500hrs he'd gone his own way ! Peaks of Inverpolly in the distance.
