If any of you are crawling about the bottom of the sea off Broadford, see if you can find the wheel that fell off my transom last weekend. Large rum for the finder...

Looks like it's time to stump up the one hundred and twenty quid required for a replacement. The annoying thing is I only need one, but they are only sold in pairs... If only my pet lobster was still around, he could have fetched it for me. Unfortunately I ate him with some fava beans and a fine Cianti...

The local blacksmith could probably cobble you up something from a couple of old pram wheels using the remaining part of the transom
I take the engine off mine and then carry it up with the assistance of anyone who just happens to be passing by

Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr, the fine old tradition of the press-gang! The boat is a bit heavy for that; I could trundle it up stoney beaches, away from the tide, with the transom wheels down. The trouble always came in remembering to put them up again when on the water...
