Have you lost or found some gear when out in the hills?

Lost weimaraner on Beinn Each 22.6.13

Postby cninagraham » Sat Jun 22, 2013 7:11 pm

My weimaraner boy went missing on the approach to Beinn Each (by Callander) at noon today. He is grey/brown, wearing a collar and is micro-chipped. He answers to Blane. It is out of character for him to run off for any more than a few minutes and he will be lost and frightened. If any of you, or your friends and family, will be out walking in that area, please look out for him. He is gentle and friendly and will come to you, especially if you have food. We have been out for hours calling for him and have now reported him missing to the police in Callander. They were very understanding and will contact farmers in the area, other police stations and their patrol officers. We are desperate for his safe return or at worst, to know what has happened to him. I know many of you will understand how this feels. I am deeply grateful for any assistance you can give.

So sorry to hear of another lost dog :(

Please put Blane's details on this website ...
http://www.lostdogs-scotland.org.uk/

I would also suggest putting up posters in the area where you lost him, as well as contacting local farmers, estate workers, gamekeepers, vets, local rescue centres, the dog warden etc etc.

I sincerely hope he turns up safe and sound very soon.

I believe Blane has been found - perhaps Cninagraham could confirm.

Many thanks all for your kindness and concern. Blane is home, safe and sound! A member of the public reported him walking along the A84 near Strathyre and called the police who picked him up. My biggest fear was him getting on to that road so this is a blessing. I am immensely grateful to the person who reported sighting him and to Callander police (Duncan King) who was helpful and supportive from the outset and the two female police officers who met us halfway to bring him home. Blane is exhausted but otherwise fine. Best wishes, Nina
