Dead Hat, Glen Lyon

Back in October I found this dead hat impaled on a pole by the track to Fiann's Rock in Glen Lyon. Much as some ancient Celts would impale the heads of enemies on spears and stick them up outside their roundhouse to impress the neighbours. I wonder what happened to the rest of the hillwalker who wore it? Eaten probably, they take no prisoners in Glen Lyon...
