This picture was taken in early 2018 of the trig point atop Ben Ledi showing rime ice projecting into the direction of the prevailing wind. Apparently it needs cold, damp and foggy conditions to grow. Not sure if it’s hard or soft rime ice - apparently there’s a difference in colour but I can’t tell. 🤔
