Froggy would a-wooing go...

Much mating activity among the Glen Strae frogs to greet spring. I took a shot of a couple in flagrante but didn't quite get the focus right. However, plenty of other solitary ones desperately a-wooing and did manage to get decent focus on this one - especially his splendid eye. Anybody got a proper name for him?

Rana temporaria, the Common Frog. Causing much commotion in one of my ponds recently and a nightly chorus, now subsided as most mating and spawning seems to be over.
