Visitors to my garden within the last couple of weeks, both utilising the same spot for their meals...blackbirds on the menu on both occasions :shock:

Absolutely wonderful! I've never seen a long eared owl, but we had a male sparrowhawk take a wood pigeon just outside our conservatory. Amazing that it can easily deal with a bird at least 3 times its own weight!

Definitely, the size of the talons on the owl would give me cause for concern at letting my daughters wee spaniel out in the garden :crazy:
