Where Eagles Dare

Where Eagles Dare

Postby morag1 » Sat Aug 24, 2013 2:34 pm

Sorry - nae photies, just the announcement that a pair of sea eagles have successfully reared a chick on the East coast of the country, in a secret location in Fife.

I would put the link here but don't know how to. You can read the whole article if you go onto the Scotsmans Website.

It's wonderful to think we might soon see Eagles flying over the Fife coast, but I cant help wondering what they are going to eat and the effect they might have on the local wildlife. Will they be making off with young lambs?

Thanks for the reply but can you please go back and delete your post? The location of the nest is supposed to be kept secret to protect the young chicks from unwanted attention - please see the banner in red at the top of the page :D

Apologies morag - I can see no way to delete the post? :(

I thought the netsing location instruction was regarding sharing specific & detailed (i.e. grid reference) locations. The fact they are in Tentsmuir is hardly a secret after all - the BBC featured the story on Countryfile a few weeks ago which where I heard about it!

You cant delete the post Stevie but you can edit it, taking out the name of the forest :D

I watch Countryfile every week but I never saw the bit about the Eagles, not sure how I missed it, probably dozed off or something :?

Thanks for the link Stevie, I'll try to watch it as I would really like to see the Eagles given they are so close to home.

It looks like you can only edit your most recent post, or that you can only edit your posts until someone else has responded in the thread...
