Seals and eagles

Seals and eagles

Recently came back from a wonderful few days in and around Glencoul. One of the highlights was the wildlife living there.

Seals, swimming with me as I paddled on a mirror-like loch

Our welcome to this spot was from a white tailed sea eagle, that launched from a cliff above us, then flew, harassed by a raven, up the glen towards the falls. Photo is sadly distant, as I was bouncing around on waves and took a while to get the camera out, but it flew right over our heads at about 100ft, magnificent creature.

Distant white-tailed sea eagle, and a brave raven

Walking up to view Eas a' Chual Aluinn, a pair of golden eagles circled high above us.
