Met this wee chap whilst crossing Na Rathanan. He seemed happy to stay put and rely on the old Ptarmigan camouflage technique!

Maybe a bit of work required on the camouflage front ! Great photo.

Nice, I love their feathery feet!


AS an aside, Ptarmigan on Beinn Alligin would set me and my mates off for hours singing those names to the tune of the Muppets manamana thing...as we regularly dp with each. P-tarmigan, do doo do do do, on Alligin, do do do do... :lol:

When that song was first composed, I wonder if they knew it would become such a phenomenon. 8)
