Near, as in could touch the wall with my right hand, yep! The hill is the Stack of Glencoul. Amazing spot, will do a report when I've finished editing the 1500 photos from our trip.

Gameshope in the Moffat hills (the only bothy I've slept in, so far). Not sure if the shelf works or not!

That's the one, a great little spot but the lack of a fire/stove does make it chilly in winter
