it wasn't that easy - I had to ponder it a bit. I looked at the higher mountains in the distance and I thought the mottled snow patterns looked like the southern slopes of the Glyders (easy angled but lots of big rocks rather than just a snowy slope).
Then I realised that it reminded me of my very first hill walk - Cnicht back in 1978, when I noticed those same snow patterns. It clearly wasn't Cnicht, so it had to be the Moelwyns!
