Are we starting the photo competition again?

Are we starting the photo competition again?

Not that I'm saying that I have any particular desire to run it (I'm too forgetful), but...

I mean, I'm quite happy with seeing people's local hills, local coasts, local wildlife - I suppose the difficulty early in lockdown when you were advised not to stop to eat was that some people also felt bad about stopping to take too many photos.

I do miss the photos, because they're not necessarily the same kind of selection as for a hill narrative.

I, for one, would rather see folks' best local "great outdoors" photos, than no photos. Not bothered about it being a competition thing, but that was never really the point anyway, just a way of getting us to pick our own favourites in my view.

Perhaps a 'Your best photos this month' thread without any organisation required might be a decent alternative
