Climbed An Stuc view Ben Lawers last monday. Had my first view of a cloud inversion. On the way to An Stuc all the surounding tops were poking through but on the way back over, Lawers was the only summit above the clouds. More than made up for the lack of views when I was first up Ben Lawers in July.

Not photographs of any particular merit. Just a cute wee dug on a hill.

A lovely photo Susie, gives a real feeling of the remoteness of the Pennines, just waiting to be explored

Great topic and great photos from everyone - I've only rediscovered my love of the hills this year but here is a link to my photos from some of my trips so far this year - http://www.flickr.com/photos/bog_foot

Cheers

Thanks for that. Just happened to get to that point at the right time and don't know why I've not seen its photographic possibilities before!

Yes, they don't know what they're missing but we should keep it that way, don't want the area getting overcrowded :D

Think you should start that North Pennines Appreciation Society now

Great thread and enjoying looking at everyone else's snaps! They're certainly whetting the appetite for next years holiday & walking ideas. :D

. . . So here's my tuppence worth from our walking holiday and honeymoon in Iceland, August 2005. A magical place and even came back with suntans. Must save the pennies and go back to explore the centre a bit more soon.
