Quite a good idea. Some of the places I am treading around the Yorkshire Dales are probably of little interest to anyone but ocasionally a photo or two is worth displaying. Hopefully this one is:

Had a walk on Cowal at the weekend.
The sun coming through the trees and mist was atmospheric.

I like seeing them, particularly as they're not too far from here and, my younger daughter lives on the outskirts of York and they go walking in the Dales and on the NY Moors

The autumn colours are brilliant, Susie - we walked through that valley in a hellish downpour...

Some magnificent shots there, thanks for the thread, mountainstar.

Here are three photos from an 8-day backpacking trip in Jotunheimen National Park, Norway

Hi RTC, no wasn't us - we were there in 2008, and just two ladies, neither group nor guide. As far as I remember we didn't meet anyone from Scotland/ the UK - would have been lovely, though!

 true Norwegian spirit - talking about slow pace while, surely, you were racing up that mountain! Especially compared to us who didn't venture further than the 2,200m point, despite great weather (weren't entirely confident about going up the snow-covered slope ahead of us).
Anyway, sorry for taking this thread to Norway for so long.

Thanks, about 10 minutes later we had a downpour as well but were able to sit in the car eating our lunch. The next day was thick clag so couldn't see anything

I liked your Norwegian photos, thank you.
