I bet raw mackerel would be good for her coat (chopped up in her bowl, not rubbed on like ointment!). :D

 soulminer - I think I recognise your mutts! Did you by any chance walk the Lochnagar circuit back in the second last weekend of July last year? Misty day which steadily became a fine sunny afternoon? If so upon descending Broad Cairn your dogs followed RTMcB and myself for a good 50mtrs or so getting regular snuggles from me until the predominately black and white dog urinated on the head of the one with a little tan colour - I then quietly told them that was a bit gross and there would be no more snuggles - once the snuggles stopped they decided to head back to their owner... you?

Not certain if anyone here monitors the RHB Yahoo group but a chap just posted a devastating acount of what happened to his dog on Liathach last week.

Very sad indeed.

Hope this link works http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rhb/message/19984

It only works if you're a member of the group. Yeah, that's the story I've just posted about on a new thread. Dreadful :(

Zeus was 7 months. In my opinion depends on the dog. If the dog is well behaved normally then will probably be ok but if the dog is prone to running off after wildlife and gets cloth ears when you recall then maybe hold off.

This is certainly the sort of behaviour they indulge in- must be in the Collie Gene pool  but unfortunately you have not 'snuggled' this pair of nuggets - yet  They would most definitely enjoy a good snuggle.
