Thanks mate. The display on Thursday past was something else. I've never been able to see the aurora with the naked eye before.

Love that waterfall shot you've posted.

What lens did you use for that?

Thanks it was the TSE 24 II however its just a straight shot with no tilt or shift.

I've wanted to see the Aurora for as long as I can remember. You have no idea how gutted I am I wasn't out last Thursday

My only other aurora sighting was a feint green glow on a night shot up Glen Clova, I have literally everything crossed that there's a similarly strong event again sometime soon. Or at the end of March when we're at the Inchnadamph meet.

Thank you so much, it was a really lucky i saw anything at all as i was just wandering down the road when i saw them - dashed home to get camera, tripod and an almost completely dead battery that died minutes after I took the panorama. I've seen aurora a few times before but never with colour. Here the red was scarlet and obvious to the naked eye and the green was so bright it was casting shadows in long exposures.

I love clivegrif's shot of the two walkers, looks so intrepid and the contrast is just sublime.

Took me a while to find it but on the right hand side you click the button that brings up the share options, Facebook etc etc. You then click the little push pin that is below those icons. Change size to desired size then copy and paste

Good to see flickr sticking to the "if it ain't broke keep tweaking it until you alienate all your users" mantra
